Oreo Tales
To celebrate Father's Day while staying true to Oreo's "Stay Playful" motto, we had the idea to teach parents and children a new game: reinventing classic stories. The Oreo Tales, created in partnership with influential Brazilians like actor Lázaro Ramos (Executive Order) and Chef Henrique Fogaça (Master Chef Brazil Judge), bring a fresh, up-to-date perspective to stories passed down through generations. These reimagined tales, now inclusive and reflecting fundamental values of our society, were launched in video format, as Spotify audiobooks, and in physical books distributed to selected public schools.

Rapunzel lived looking at the clouds,
Searching for the shapes they form out.
Was that a hat, or a boat with spouts? One day while walking she tripped and fell.
That's when her dad would tell:
"Darling, look up but keep your feet on the ground.
There's a world here, and it's yours to be found."Rapunzel's family had moved to a one-tower building, where something soon cheered her up.
Here, she lived closer to the sun.On the other hand, she found herself trapped by a neighbour who always whispered behind her back.
It was about the girl's hair she talked, comparing it to a nest. She felt that deep in her chest.
Rapunzel talked to her parents.
In front of the mirror, her mom said: "Come here, love."She wanted the girl to admire her eyes, her lips, her wide nose. And the curls that framed those.
"Smile and see what a beautiful girl you are", she said, while dad taught her a verse:
"I'm beautiful and intelligent.
I'm no better or worse, I'm relevant!"
"This felling of a sadness, almost malevolent, should not make my head its home.It belongs to those who think that life is made with only one type of comb."
Revisiting old photos, Mom said: "Your hair, is like a sun that shines upon you, it's like a crown you should carry with joy"
"Each hairstyle tells a different story. Can't you see your hair and all its glory?"
The next day arrived and Rapunzel's adventures continued. She left the house and the elevator was called, but nothing happened.
Seeing a maintenance sign, back home she headed. That's when she looked through the window and saw a bizarre scene.
The neighbour was sliding down a rope made of laundry. They weren't even clean! Why was the neighbour in such a hurry?
Rapunzel, smart as she was, had a theory.
There was a shiny book down below, she could see it."Why the rush? What interests you so much?"
Suspicious, the neighbour shouts:
"What's down there is not for your eyes!
The Magic Book of Beauty is mine!
Don't meddle. Don't even try!"In her anger, the neighbour lost balance and almost fell to the ground!
In the last moment, she held on to a window,
but could not turn around.Without the strength to save herself, she screams: "Help!"
Rapunzel was aware of the strength and magic in her hair.
She made a long braid and said: “Hold on!”
rescuing the neighbour in distress.Once on the ground, in safety, the neighbour hugged the girl thankfully.
But when she reached for the book, as if by spell, it floated straight to Rapunzel. And it said: "Here is someone who doesn't need my help. One who is beautiful and everyone can tell.”
"This is the best kind of beauty! It combines soul and features and makes the world pretty.”
The neighbour begged: "Please make me beautiful!"
But the book did not hesitate... and closed in front of her face.
Rapunzel went home knowing that the world can be wonderful and diverse.
But that an ugly attitude takes tolls that are hard to reverse. The sun was setting when the parents returned. The girl rushed, greeting them with a hug.
Dad said: "New look?"
Rapunzel told him:
"I did it myself! I learned from a book."
Jack and the Beanstalk
With English captions
by Henrique Fogaça
Chef Fogaça is a father of three children, one of whom is a wheelchair user. He is also a judge on MasterChef Brazil and an advocate for children with special needs.
-
Do you know a kid who sings for everything? Jack was like that.
He would roll around in his wheelchair, The Adventurer, singing all the while.
He liked to eat dessert and sing and dance. If cookies were on the table, he'd sing even louder.
He always felt good when he sang a tune. Even when the other kids made jokes about his chair.
The only time Jack stopped singing was on his way to school.
He and The Adventurer had a challenge: the slopes in his neighbourhood were a rough ride.
And when he reached the paved sidewalks, there wasn't a ramp in sight.
At that point, Jack would stop singing and start thinking about what he could do to change things.
One day, his father grew worried. "You shouldn't go to school alone! You could get hurt", he said.
But Jack assured him, “Dad, I can do it!”
His father insisted. “I’m afraid I still don’t know how to let you go out there alone!”
Until one day, something special happened.
Mr. Aladê was a funny teacher who always did amazing experiments in class. He’d make giant soap bubbles, use magnets to capture faraway objects—this was Jack's favorite class.
That day, the teacher taught them how to plant a bean in cotton wool and told them a story.
"Once upon a time, a very famous architect lived far, far away... in a huge house, above the highest clouds in the sky," said Mr Aladê.
"And the architect was a giant!"Curious, Jack asked: “But teacher, why are you telling us about a giant?”
"Because those who care for this little bean will be rewarded," Mr. Aladê replied.
“The plant will grow so tall, it will take them to the giants doorstep!"
Jack believed the teacher's words, but his classmates didn't.
They laughed, thinking it was just a joke to keep them focused on their plants.
Later, at home, Jack transplanted the bean from the cotton wool into the soil. He cared for it, with water and big dreams.
Every night, Jack closed his eyes and imagined the beanstalk growing so tall it would lift him into the skies.
On one of these nights, he waited for his father to fall asleep and went to the backyard to check on the beanstalk. But he fell asleep right there!
Powered by his dreams, the beanstalk grew wildly.
The root wrapped itself around The Adventurer, through Jack’s arms, and continued to climb upward. When Jack finally reached the top, he came face to face with a giant who, to his surprise, welcomed him very well, thank you.
The boy talked about the difficulties he faced getting to school. The architect shared his own experience of being a giant who couldn’t fit anywhere and spoke about how spaces could be changed to fit everyone.
Jack decided right then that’s what he wanted to do—think about cities. With the giant’s help, Jack returned home, where his father was still worried about him.
The boy shared his adventure, and his father was proud.
Years later, little Jack became an architect and started his own project: "How to Build a City for Everyone."
He launched the project with a beautiful party, full of music. Just the way Jack liked it.
And even the Giant Architect, his longtime friend, had a special seat in the crowd.
